Academic writing can be intimidating, but with the right tools, it doesn’t have to be. This course will teach you how to approach any academic writing assignment successfully. Learn how to write strong, memorable thesis statements; to organize your academic arguments and marshal your evidence to maximize impact; and to use research as a strategy for asking important questions, as well as for teaching yourself how to answer them. By the end of this course, you will have applied tools and strategies for rigorous, problem-based writing, and you will have completed one polished college-level essay.
