Challenge Overview (Description & Objectives)

Participants in the NYU SPS Division of Programs in Business Hackathon explored innovative ways to enhance the student life cycle and improve the overall student experience. They identified gaps in various aspects of student engagement and utilized AI-assisted cloud platforms to propose creative, functional solutions. Participants delivered impactful projects to significantly improve student success and engagement, demonstrating how technology can be leveraged to transform the student journey in meaningful ways. The students presented their final prototypes to institutional leaders for feedback and validation. 

Participants engaged with two key prompts during the Hackathon: 

  1. Identify a Gap in the Student Life Cycle

    Participants pinpointed specific challenges or areas for improvement within the student life cycle, outlining why these issues were critical to address.

  2. Leverage an AI-assisted Cloud Platform to Build Your Solution

    Utilizing an AI-powered cloud platform, participants developed tailored solutions to tackle the identified gaps. By integrating relevant datasets and harnessing data-driven insights, their projects aimed to enhance the student experience and deliver meaningful, real-world impact.
