The Certificate in Historic Preservation Studies is a fully online, flexible program for professionals in the US and all over the world interested in learning the fundamentals of historic preservation regulation and practice. Whether you have a general interest in the subject matter or are considering a career shift, this carefully designed sequence of four required courses will give you a solid foundation in preservation policy and practice and will introduce you to the full range of tools currently applied in New York City and beyond. The program is appropriate for architects, real estate professionals, urban designers, interior designers, community organizers, and art historians, as well as others who have a limited background in preservation studies. The Certificate must be completed within three years of taking the first certificate-eligible course.
